Description

Companies are increasingly facing intense pressure to deal with the demands of diverse stakeholders: customers want socially responsible products; employees want meaningful work; investors evaluate companies based on environmental and social criteria; Activists follow every misstep of organizations. CEOs know that companies must have a role that is not only commercial, but also social; The point is that pressure from stakeholders often creates choices (or trade-offs) that are difficult to resolve, especially when they conflict with shareholder returns. How to deal with demands from all sides and still keep the business successful? The 360° company offers a roadmap to help leaders take a panoramic look at all parties involved in a company, showing how to face trade-offs The best way is often through innovation. Using the cases of Nike and Walmart, Sarah Kaplan reveals that these difficult company choices can actually be a source of resilience and transformation.
