Or vice versa.<\/p>\n<p>It is possible, however, to organize family and work relationships in this type of company to obtain satisfactory business results and, at the same time, preserve emotional and affective ties.<\/p>\n<p>According to the authors, the key to achieving healthy and productive relationships lies in the tools and resources of corporate and family governance in order to achieve:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Establish clear and defined strategies in the company;<\/li>\n<li>Avoid confusion between ownership and management;<\/li>\n<li>Minimize power struggles and the predominance of individual whims;<\/li>\n<li>Carry out a legitimate and efficient succession;<\/li>\n<li>Reduce the tendency towards conservatism and paternalism;<\/li>\n<li>Reduce conflicts of interest and friction between family members;<\/li>\n<li>Preserve affectionate and healthy relationships between relatives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Affection, power and money are the pillars of both the success and failure of family businesses.
